54 Below just welcomed a part of its December line-up for a special performance preview, including the cast of 'HIT LIST' -- a fictional musical created for NBC's popular series SMASH. Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, The Last 5 Years), Andy Mientus (Carrie, Spring Awakening), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date ,The Addams Family), and Carrie Manolakos (Wicked, Mamma Mia!) will star in the concert production, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to share in their excitement about the project. The Skivvies (Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley) stopped by Broadway star Nick Adams' house to serve up some 'whacky' holiday cheer. Singing and playing an original arrangement of 'Little Drummer Boy' and 'We Got The Beat' on boomwhackers, the Skivvies are joined by Shannon Ford on drums. Check out the music video below!

Up and coming musical theatre writer Zack Zadek performs a concert of his music at Highline Ballroom today, Monday November 11, at 8PM. Directed by Hunter Bird, the concert will be a mix of musical theatre, pop, dance, as well as selections from Zadek's full-length musicals 6 (New York Musical Theatre Festival 2012), and The Crazy Ones (NYMF Reading Series 2013).
Broadway's Marla Mindelle (Sister Act, South Pacific), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange), Taylor Trensch (Matilda, Wicked), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening, Universal/Island Records) and more will join up and coming musical theatre writer Zack Zadek in a concert of his music at Highline Ballroom on Monday November 11, at 8PM. After the wildly successful 'Broadway Loves Britney' and 'Broadway Sings The 90's' concerts, 'The TRL Generation' returns to the Canal Room on Sunday, November 10th with 'Broadway Loves the Spice Girls,' a 'Girl Power'-filled song and dance extravaganza paying tribute to the Fab Five. The 9:30PM concert is musically directed by Benjamin Rauhala, directed by Kyle Fox, and produced by Shoshana Feinstein.
Amanda Green returned to the stage at The Broadway at Birdland concert series for a one-night-only special event on September 29. Green is an award winning performer and Tony-nominated Broadway composer-lyricist. For this event, she was joined by members of the Broadway cast of Hands On A Hardbody. Together they performed an evening of her hilarious and moving songs, and celebrated the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording. The singers were backed by members of the original Broadway 'Pit Crew' for Hardbody, including Musical Director Matt Gallagher on piano, Skip Krevens on Pedal Steel, Shannon Ford on drums and Skip Ward on bass.

Green will host the concert Amanda Green and Friends at Birdland Jazz Club (315 West 44th Street) tonight, September 29 at 6:00 PM to celebrate the album's release. Her special guests will include Keith Carradine, Allison Case, Jenn Colella, Van Hughes, Janet Krupin, Kathleen Monteleone, Jim Newman, Jacob Ming-Trent, Jon Rua and William Youmans. The Broadway at Birdland concert series welcomed Broadway's Clarke Thorell in Songs I Wish I'd Written for one night only, Monday, August 5 at 7pm. The concert featured songs by Harry Nilsson, Paul McCartney, Adam Guettel, Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, Elvis Costello, Chris Thile, and Sting. Joining Clarke were Musical Director/pianist Dan Lipton, along with singers Brian d'Arcy James, Cortes Alexander, Haven Burton and Jim Caruso.
