THE MUSIC OF ZACK ZADE with Rebecca Naomi Jones, Emma Hunton & More Set for Highline Ballroom Today

Up and coming musical theatre writer Zack Zadek performs a concert of his music at Highline Ballroom today, Monday November 11, at 8PM. Directed by Hunter Bird, the concert will be a mix of musical theatre, pop, dance, as well as selections from Zadek's full-length musicals 6 (New York Musical Theatre Festival 2012), and The Crazy Ones (NYMF Reading Series 2013).

The full line-up includes Alex Brightman (Big Fish, Wicked), Ariana DeBose (Motown, Bring It On), Andrew Kober (Hair), Hannah Elless (Godspell), Nik Walker (The Last Goodbye, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots), Drew Gaspirini (NBC's Smash), Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening, Next to Normal), Molly Hager (Fat Camp), Sarah Cetrulo (The Black Suits), Haley Bond, Charles Franklin, Danielle McRoy, Broadway's Marla Mindelle (Sister Act, South Pacific), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange), Taylor Trensch (Matilda, Wicked), and Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening, Universal/Island Records).

Zadek will lead an 8-piece band featuring Music Director Benjamin Rauhala (Synth/Organ), Matt Hinkley (Lead Guitar), Shannon Ford (Drums), Andy Kuusisto (Bass), Alexandra Jones (Cello), Sam Quiggins (Cello), and Justin Rothberg (Rhythm Guitar). Additional vocals by Taylor Noble and Sedona Schat.

Zadek is a Long Island born singer/songwriter and composer/lyricist. His work has been heard at Joe's Pub, (Le) Poisson Rouge, 54 Below, Galapagos Art Space, and as part of "In The Valley: The Songs of Zack Zadek" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Zack's sold-out musical "6", an intimate telling of six New Yorkers who, by six degrees of separation, unknowingly change each other's lives, was selected by the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival. In addition to writing and performing new musical theatre, Zack is an active solo artist who has banged on pianos across New York. His current projects include "The Crazy Ones", a new musical about Steve Jobs and Apple, Inc. (NYMF Reading Series 2013), a new EDM song cycle, and an upcoming solo EP. Zack currently studies at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. He is a proud member of ASCAP and the Dramatist's Guild of America. Follow him @zackzadek.
