54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The Songwriter's Orchestra in their debut performance on 2/28/15. The Songwriter's Orchestra is an ensemble of 11 orchestral musicians that accompanies singer/songwriters in new arrangements of their songs.

The Lion, the gripping, highly acclaimed autobiographical solo show written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, opened last night, February 8th, at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street). Directed by Sean Daniels, The Lion will play an extended engagement Off-Broadway through March 29th, following an award-winning run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and sold-out productions at the Manhattan Theatre Club and London's St. James Theatre. After a year of traveling and performing all over the country, singer/songwriter Shaina Taub - winner of the 2014 Jonathan Larson Grant - returns home to New York to present an evening of her original songs with her band, on Wednesday November 19 at 7:00 PM at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater. Shaina will be joined by her bandmates bassist/singer Mike Brun (Mr. Burns, Old Hats) and drummer/singer Jacob Colin Cohen (One Man, Two Guv'nors; Old Hats), pianist David Farrell Melton and singer Grace McLean (Bedbugs!!!), Catherine Brookman (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) and Starr Busby will make special guest appearances. The set list will features selections from Old Hats, There's A House, Robin, songs from Taub's two EPs, and many brand new songs as well.

Shaina Taub will play at Joe's Pub (425 LAFAYETTE STREET), Wednesday Nov. 19 at 7pm (doors open at 6pm). She'll be joined by trio-mates, Jacob Colin Cohen and Mike Brun. They performed in Old Hats out west together, and they'll be featuring some of the tunes from it. The incomparable Dave Melton will be joining on keys, with three phenomenal vocalists singing on many songs: Grace McLean, Catherine Brookman & Starr Busby.

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook will continue to expand its scope in celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting, beginning with a free opening night concert in the David Rubenstein Atrium on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Live From Lincoln Center, the Emmy Award-winning program broadcast nationally on PBS stations, will shoot two of the first week's concerts by Broadway stars Norm Lewis and Billy Porter in The Appel Room. These performances will be broadcast nationally in the Spring of 2015.
