VOCA PEOPLE (www.VocaPeopleNYC.com), the new hit musical currently performing at the Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street, Upstairs), has been invited to perform at the 2011 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon airing live at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas.
Due to the impending hurricane, all performances of 'Voca People' at The Westside Theatre have been cancelled for August 27th and 28th.

On Friday evening, August 19, Voca People became the latest production to inspire a beverage on the restaurants Broadway Cocktail Menu ...'The Voca-tini' (infused vodka, triple sec, white cranberry juice). They look a little like Blue Man Group, they sound a little like Toxic Audio and they talk a lot like Andy Kaufman and Carol Kane playing Latka and Simka on Taxi, but while Voca People might give the appearance of being a bit too tourist trappy for we jaded New York theatre types, it's the kind of family friendly, good clean fun that's legitimately clever, catchly and often downright adorable.

Their mission: to musically refuel their spaceship by performing the music of Earthlings.
