A long-time Los Angeles Theatre contributor, Jeanie Hackett has acted, directed and overseen two theatre companies (so far) - Antaeus and The Classical Theatre Lab. Before her latest directorial project LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT opens January 31 at The Geffen Playhouse, Jeanie took some time out of rehearsals to chat with BroadwayWorld and myself.

 The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will present Opera for Kids: Little Red Riding Hood on Sunday, February 5, at 2:30 p.m. at THE BLACK BOX, 15 West Central Street, in downtown Franklin. This special program is a presentation of FPAC's Family Concert Series and is offered free to the community. Drury Lane Theatre presents the disco musical Saturday Night Fever, rewritten for the Drury Lane stage, featuring music and lyrics by The Bee Gees, based on the smash-hit Paramount/RSO Film and the story by Nik Cohn, and adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks.

Primitive Grace Theater Ensemble will present the World Premiere of FRINGE OF HUMANITY written and directed by Obie Award winner and SAG Award nominee Paul Calderon. Co-starring David Zayas (Dexter), performances begin January 11 at Access Theater. Opening is slated for tonight, January 19th.

This North American version was written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinantiand is helmed by Tony-nominated director and choreographer Dan Knechtges. Saturday Night Fever runs January 19 - March 19, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The Press Opening is Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. A portion of the opening night tickets sales will be donated to ArtReach, a nonprofit providing access to the arts to underserved communities in the Chicago area.

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts announced a diverse lineup of productions for the 2017-2018 season tonight at their annual party and fundraiser showcasing musical performances from next season's shows.

After being shelved by the British Government in 1945 and following a decades-long residency at Britain's Imperial War Museum, German Concentration Camps Factual Survey, a feature-length documentary film commissioned by the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) and produced by the late filmmaker Sidney Bernstein, will have its first theatrical run in North America beginning January 6, 2017, at Cinema Village in New York City.
