Playwrights Ty Defoe (Musical Theatre Factory Makers Cohort, Clouds Are Pillows for the Moon), Monet Hurst-Mendoza (Veil'd, The Kilroys), Mona Mansour (Urge for Going, The Way West), and Sanaz Toossi (Page 73 Playwriting Fellow, EST's Youngblood), and directors Misha Chowdhury (The Wolves, An Ordinary Muslim), Estefania Fadul (Scissoring, O'Neill/NNPN National Directors Fellowship), Seonjae Kim (Riot Antigone), Taylor Reynolds (Plano), and Megan Sandberg-Zakian (Nat Turner in Jerusalem) join Noor Theatre's 5th Annual 48 Hour Forum, a 48-hour play festival inspired by news events of the day.

The Bushwick Starr is thrilled to announce our 2018-19 STARR READING SERIES. This annual program allows us to celebrate and explore the plays of the city's most exciting playwrights. We feature new work from a diverse group of writers at all stages of their careers who are approaching writing for the theater in thrilling and unexpected ways. Every spring the new crop of Drama League Directing Fellows come to New York City for a week of immersion with theater professionals. Bonnie Comley, Vice President of the Board for the Drama League and her husband six time Tony Winner, Stewart F. Lane hosted a dinner at the new Bond45 for a pre-theater meal and conversation about commercial producing. Also, at the table to share their expertise was another multi Tony Award winning couple, Janet Kagan (also a Drama League Board member) and Howard Kagan and the Drama League's Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Stelian-Shanks and Program Director, Sherri Eden Barber.

The Drama League Announces 2018 Fellowship Recipients

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks) has announced the eleven exceptional stage directors who have been selected as the 2018 Directing Fellows of The Drama League Directors Project: Jake Beckhard, Jennifer Chang, Tara Elliott, Kyle Haden, Myeongsik Jason Jang, Kemar Jewel, Seonjae Kim, Margaret Lee, Dennis Yueh-Yeh Li, Ivey Lowe, and Christopher Nuñez. They will be publicly introduced to the professional theatre community during the 84th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). Company Of Fools Presents INSIDE, OUTSIDE, UPSIDE DOWN!

Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre programming will conclude with the charming production of Inside, Outside, Upside Down! - a mini-musical commissioned by Company of Fools (COF) and the Sun Valley Center for the Arts as part of its new BIG IDEA project, Bees. Two free public performances are scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 2 p.m. Both will be held at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey and will be followed by a unique interactive workshop.

New Work by Anna Deavere Smith, Collaborations with WP Theater, and More Amongst New York Theatre Workshop's 2018/19 Season

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) announces five productions as part of its complete 2018/19 Season, and the first production of their 2019/20 Season. The season begins in Fall 2018 with WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME by two-time Obie Award winner Heidi Schreck (Grand Concourse, "I Love Dick") and directed by Obie Award winner Oliver Butler (The Amateurs, The Light Years); followed by the New York Premiere ofSLAVE PLAY by Jeremy O.
