The International Centre for Women Playwrights (ICWP) is thrilled to report that a record-breaking number of recipients will receive the 2016 50/50 Applause Awards, which recognizes theatres that produced 50% or more women playwrights in their 2015/16 season of shows. ICWP defines 50/50 by the number of qualifying performances in a theatre's season. This allows a concrete measurement of the resources being devoted to women playwrights.

Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC) is proud to present the Larson Legacy Concert showcasing the work of Sam Salmond, a recipient of The American Theatre Wing's 2015 Jonathan Larson Grants, on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in the Olmsted Theatre. The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of SWEAT by Lynn Nottage.

The Broadway premiere of the new musical Dear Evan Hansen has found a new home: it will officially open at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th St), and not at the Belasco Theatre, as previously announced.

Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman's revival of WONDERFUL TOWN - Leonard Bernstein's classic musical with lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and book by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov, begins tonight, September 10, at the Goodman Theatre.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Disney's Freaky Friday. The production will star Heidi Blickenstaff (Broadway's Something Rotten) as Katherine Blake and Emma Hunton (Broadway's Spring Awakening) as Ellie Blake, as well as Jason Gotay(Broadway's Bring It On The Musical) as Adam and Alan H Green (Broadway's School of Rock) as Mike.

On the heels of its 62nd Season, Williamstown Theatre Festival announced today that Jill Kargman, the star and creator of Bravo's hit comedy 'Odd Mom Out,' will host a benefit musical evening with Michael Cerveris, on Monday, October 24 at 7 PM at her home.

Why would a Baltimore-bred black man bond with buxom Broadway beauty Bernadette Peters? Find out as Larry Owens (Gigantic, A Strange Loop) explores music from the diva's extensive career on stage, screen, and record. Larry will be accompanied by the Andrei Strizek Trio (Andrei Strizek - piano, Jason Lang - drums, Tony Lannen - bass) and backed by The Bernadettes (Erika Conaway, Lily LaGravenese, and Tam Young). The evening features musical direction by Andrei Strizek and is produced by David Levy.

Andy Bragen Theatre Projects and Rachel Sussman will present the World Premiere of Andy Bragen's DON'T YOU F**KING SAY A WORD, directed by Lee Sunday Evans (2015 Obie Award-winner for A Beautiful Day in November on the Banks of the Greatest of the Great Lakes) at 59E59 Theaters, November 4-December 4.
