The Dramatists Guild Fund and Program Chairs Michael Korie, Laurence O'Keefe, and Diana Son have announced the 2016-2017 class of DG Fellows James Christy, Khiyon Hursey, Patricia Ione Lloyd, Michael R. Jackson, C.A. Johnson, David Mallamud, Zoey Martinson, Madeline Myers, Nicole Pandolfo, and Len Schiff.
Forward Flux Presents Double Feature of THE WEDDING GIFT and THE SUMMER HOUSE

Tickets are now available for Forward Flux's productions of THE WEDDING GIFT by Chisa Hutchinson (West Coast premiere), and THE SUMMER HOUSE by Sarah Bernstein (World premiere), playing September 20th - October 8th at Gay City Arts (517 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122). For the second year in a row, Forward Flux will present two new plays in the same theatre, allowing audiences to choose one, or see both in one night with show times at 7pm and 9pm. Each play runs around 75mins with no intermission (as it should be).
Cincinnati Playhouse Brings August Wilson's JITNEY to Vibrant Life

JITNEY, the first script that August Wilson wrote for what would become his trailblazing American Century Cycle of 10 plays, will run in the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's Robert S. Marx Theatre Oct. 15 through Nov. 12.JITNEY beautifully explores Wilson's recurring themes of love, honor, duty and betrayal as it follows a group of men who operate an unlicensed car service in 1970s Pittsburgh.

As the school year begins again we get a fresh crop of productions from our local colleges. To kick off this season Rollins College presents THE FOREIGNER. Grace Zottig is a senior and is gaining some hands on experience at directing alongside Thomas Ouellette. Grace took some time out of her busy schedule to answer some of my questions. It is refreshing to hear from someone just at the start of her career.

SONGS FROM SHOWS YOU'LL NEVER SEE AT ARTISAN opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, September 9, 2016 and runs through Today, October 8, 2016. The 150 seat Second Stage theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:00pm on Thursdays and Todays and 8:00pm on Fridays. Reserved seating tickets are $18.00 for adults, $16.00 for students and seniors, and $9.00 for children 12 and under. Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the first show in its celebratory 25th Silver Anniversary season with OUR TOWN, by Thornton Wilder and directed by Richard Israel. OUR TOWN will preview on Wednesday, September 14 and Thursday, September 15 at 8pm and will open on Friday, September 16 at 8pm and run through Sunday, October 23 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

Northlight Theatre announces its partnership with TodayTix-the free mobile app that provides on-demand access to last-minute theatre tickets-and the ridesharing company Lyft with its new Rush&Ride program for discounted tickets and free rides to and from the theatre. Rush&Ride offers a limited number of $20 tickets for the Chicago premiere of the hit off-Broadway play The City of Conversation, available exclusively on the TodayTix app, and includes free rides, courtesy of Lyft.
