The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), hosted its star-studded 'Mr. Abbott' Award Gala honoring Kenny Leon at espace in New York City yesterday, March 27. The University of Washington School of Drama will present Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Orlando by Virginia Woolf, directed by School of Drama Professor and CIVIC REP Artistic Director L. Zane Jones. The production runs April 28th - May 7th at the historic Glenn Hughes Penthouse Theatre on the University of Washington campus.

Rebel and Misfits Productions is thrilled to announce 'Sex with Strangers,' its first project in a new series called 'An Intimate Theatre Project.' The provocative and timely play comes from Laura Eason (House of Cards) and will be directed by New York City's Michelle Bossy. The event runs March 30 through April 15 at a private home in the Central West End (4632 McPherson Avenue). Starting nightly at 8pm, each performance will seat a small, intimate audience of approximately 50 people.

Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 84th season with Night Watch, an ingeniously devised thriller written by Lucille Fletcher, opening March 25th, 2017. The play is directed by veteran director Jerry Hurley, and will run through April 22nd, 2017 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

Blood! Obie Award-winner Jo Bonney directs the world premiere of an edgy, intense and darkly comic new play by John Pollono (Small Engine Repair, Lost Girls) in a Latino Theater Company production presented in association with The Temblors, a unique new collective of seven Los Angeles-based playwrights. Rules of Seconds opens March 23 at The Los Angeles Theater Center, with low-priced previews beginning March 16.

On April 21, 2017 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will continue its 34th season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, by bringing to life the soundtrack of a generation, including songs by James Taylor, Carole King, and more.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau. The Globe is the first regional theatre in the country to mount the play, which was presented here as a reading in the 2014 Powers New Voices Festival before an acclaimed Off Broadway run. San Diego director Delicia Turner Sonnenberg makes her Globe debut to helm the award-winning drama, which is presented in association with San Diego's MOXIE Theatre, where Turner Sonnenberg is Founding Artistic Director.
