COCA-Center of Creative Arts announces that Jennifer Wintzer will join its leadership team as Artistic Director of Theatre.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) are pleased to announce that the 25th annual Critics' Choice Awards will air LIVE on The CW Network on Sunday, January 12, 2020 (7:00-10:00p.m. Live ET/ Delayed PT), with acclaimed film, television, and stage star Taye Diggs returning as the event's host. The show will continue its combined Film and Television awards format, honoring the finest in both cinematic and televised/streaming achievement, and take place once again at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Broadway In Boston announced today that individual tickets for the Boston premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will go on sale Sunday, March 24, 2019. Dear Evan Hansen will play the Citizens Bank Opera House July 10 - August 4 as part of the 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

The first national touring production of the 2017 Best Musical Tony Award-winner Dear Evan Hansen will return to Chicago by popular demand for a limited 12-week engagement July 7 through September 27, 2020, at Broadway In Chicago's James M. Nederlander Theatre (24 W. Randolph). Individual tickets for the Dear Evan Hansen return engagement will go on-sale to the public Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. Central, and pre-sale tickets will be available starting Monday, February 18 through Broadway In Chicago's eblast and Dear Evan Hansen's social media channels.

National Endowment for the Arts Acting Chairman Mary Anne Carter has approved more than $27 million in grants as part of the NEA's first major funding announcement for fiscal year 2019. Included in this announcement is Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's award of $10,000 for their musical theatre writer residencies and Triple R program - 2 readings and a residency.

It has been called the most important photograph ever taken-an image that led to a breakthrough in genetics research. The X-ray crystallographer who took it, Rosalind Franklin, is at the heart of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51, next up on South Coast Repertory's Julianne Argyros Stage, directed by Kimberly Senior, March 3-24. T. Fellowship, in association with Columbia University School of the Arts, announces the next T. Fellow is Rachel Sussman, the seventh fellow in the one year program designed to educate and empower new creative producers. The fellow will receive a stipend of $10,000 with a $20,000 budget for the development of a new theatrical production, and will have access to courses in Columbia's MFA Theatre Management & Producing Program.

Following an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences and critics alike, Berkeley Rep has announced that Metamorphoses, directed by Mary Zimmerman, will extend for an additional two weeks. The popular show will now run through Sunday, March 24.

The writing team of Jenny Giering (music), Adam Gwon (lyrics) and Karen Hartman have won the 13th Annual Weston-Ghostlight New Musical Award for their new musical, ALICE BLISS.

Producer Stacey Mindich announced today that the North American tour of Dear Evan Hansen, which launched September 25, 2018 in Denver, has recouped its investment at a remarkable pace-after only 12 weeks on tour.
