Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) has announced the complete cast for the world premiere of The Compass, a groundbreaking, interactive performance that explores the intersection of technology and decision-making. Devised and directed by Michael Rohd, this innovative production gives audience members the opportunity to determine the fate of those on stage.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST), the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District and Boeing partner to present the annual citywide summer tradition, Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks. This summer, 24 performances of Shakespeare's Greatest Hits travel to 17 neighborhood parks across Chicago, FREE FOR ALL, July 19-August 16, 2015. Shakespeare's memorable characters come to life in a unique and surprising mash-up of scenes from his most celebrated plays. From Hamilton Park and Garfield Park Conservatory to Washington Park and Gage Park, Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks is the single largest professional urban tour of a Shakespearean production, activating communities and giving Chicagoans direct access to their City's cultural treasures.

TEN, The Gift Theatre's annual season kickoff celebration of ten 10-minute plays, returns January 1-11, 2015. This year's premieres by The Gift and guests were curated by artistic director Michael Patrick Thornton and associate artistic director Paul D'Addario. Goodman Theatre announces the complete line-up for its 2013 New Stages festival, this year celebrating Latino playwrights. Three staged readings-The Rooster Room by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes, Feathers and Teeth by Charise Castro Smith and Another Word for Beauty by Jose Rivera-complement the previously-announced two fully-staged workshop productions, The Upstairs Concierge by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz and The Solid Sand Below by former Goodman Theatre Playwrights Unit member Martin Zimmerman.

Performances begin in just five weeks for the third annual Next Up, continuing Steppenwolf Theatre Company's commitment to Chicago's next generation of theater artists.
