It may not be like getting a gift on every one of the 12 Days of Christmas, but for cabaret and musical theater lovers, the 4th Annual Urban Stages 'Winter Rhythms' series-presented over a dozen straight nights at the not-for-profit's Off-Broadway theatre on 259 West 39th Street-could be the closest thing to opening a daily present by the tree. From December 4-15, more than 80 singers and actors will perform in an eclectic mix of 22 shows (including three on Saturday and Sunday, 12/8 and 12/9), with all the proceeds from ticket sales dedicated to the Urban Stages 'On Tour Outreach Program.' Two years ago, Urban Stages Artistic Director Frances Hill brought in MAC and Bistro award-winning director, lyricist and producer Peter Napolitano to produce the Winter Rhythms program and broaden the scope of it's musical offerings. BroadwayWorld.com Cabaret Columnist Stephen Hanks recently caught up with the new Sol Hurok of Urban Stages to learn how he had helped Winter Rhythms evolve and get some insights into this year's program.

After a sold out 5-week run in Brooklyn and an additional 2-week extension, Third Rail Projects will extend its acclaimed production of THEN SHE FELL through January 6. This immersive theater event is inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland). It is written, directed, designed and choreographed by Zach Morris with Tom Pearson and Jennine Willett and in collaboration with The Company.

Arts@Renaissance presents the World Premiere of Third Rail Projects' THEN SHE FELL, an immersive theater event inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland). This movement-based spectacular tells the story of a woman combating a variety of sleep disorders, phantasmagorical night terrors, hypnotic horrors & other visually stunning conjurings from the subconscious depths of her own disturbed mind. This movement-based spectacular tells the story of a woman combating a variety of sleep disorders, phantasmagorical night terrors, hypnotic horrors, and other, visually stunning conjurings from the subconscious depths of her own disturbed mind. Symphony of Shadows merges striking elements of circus and aerial arts, dance and movement, burlesque, and operatic productions to vividly illustrate its storyline in a genre defying form, which 'evokes a live-action silent film.'

New York Classical Theatre will pay homage to its hometown with a roving production of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' that recasts the beloved comedy's setting as fin de siècle New York. From May 31st to June 24th, the company will lead audiences on Shakespeare's lively journey of mistaken identities, misguided lovers, and joyous celebration, recasting the play's setting to New York City circa 1900.

The Civilians will honor Robert Hammond, co-founder of The High Line, at its 2012 Benefit tonight, April 23rd, at the Highline Ballroom. Hammond will be feted by the company's Associate Artists as well as additional stage and screen stars in a one-night-only performance of interviews and songs by Michael J. Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) about Hammond and the creation of The High Line, put together in The Civilians' signature investigative style. Interviewees for this unique performance include Amanda Burden (Director of the Department of City Planning), Florent Morellet (Restaurant Owner), and Bronson Van Wyck (Event Planner).
