Members of the sold-out audience at the seventh edition of the semi-annual Queer Bits Film Festival on Saturday, June 17 selected a silent film depicting same-sex love affairs in India, where homosexual activity is illegal, as their favorite of the 11 films screened in the festival.
The seventh edition of the semi-annual Queer Bits Film Festival, to be screened Saturday, June 17 at 7:30 pm in The Broadway, Pride Arts Center, will include eleven films from six countries, according to an announcement made today by festival producers Dan Pal and Shaun Baer. This spring's set list includes individual narratives ranging from the realities of dating a lesbian stripper, facing expulsion as a bi-gender musician, and keeping 'forbidden love' from being expressed in India.
