After a grueling $1.5 million, 18 month capital campaign, the sale and subsequent closure of The Venetian Theatre, moving one show to a library, canceling the largest show in the company's history, and seven months of construction, Bag&Baggage Productions has weathered the storm and proudly announces the inaugural season in their permanent new home.

Anne, Charlotte, and Emily Bronte were familiar with overcoming hurdles; the three Bronte sisters overcame isolation, sexism, and a family rocked by addiction to become three of the most important writers in all of Western literature. It is fitting, therefore, that the recent announcement of the pending sale of the Venetian Theatre in downtown Hillsboro is simply another hurdle the sisters must overcome to bring their lives and literature to life for Hillsboro audiences.

The Hungarian play that inspired a trio of iconic films and a massive Broadway smash comes to Hillsboro for an Oregon premiere this holiday season. Bag&Baggage Productions, Hillsboro's resident professional theatre, presents Parfumerie, adapted by EP Dowdall from the Hungarian play Illatzzertar by Miklos Laszlo, now through December 23rd at The Venetian Theatre.

Along the Way Productions announces the company's inaugural project, BCC: Romeo&Juliet, will showcase Monday, September 26th at 7:30 PM at Stage 773 (1225 W Belmont). Granted funding support from Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Along the Way's Founding Artist Amanda Jane Long directs the experimental project.
