ABC has announced that Jim Parsons, star of Broadway's AN ACT OF GOD, will appear on THE VIEW on Tuesday, June 2nd. Author Judy Blume will also appear on the broadcast.

Following several on-stage engagements at Broadway's new musical comedy, It Shoulda Been You, a young Norwalk, Connecticut couple will wed on stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47Th Street). Immediately following the Saturday, May 30, 2015 matinee performance, Matt Harter and his fiancee Jordan Reuck, a life-long Broadway fan, will exchange vows before the entire Shoulda company and audience. 

The new Broadway comedy An Act of God, starring Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jim Parsons, began performances on May 7 and officially opens tonight, May 28, 2015 at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street).

Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 1 at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC).   TDF's Open Doors was the first arts education program to receive a special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre when it received the special honor in 2012. This year, Open Doors had 30 mentors working with 24 groups of students from New York City high schools.

Theater fans, celebrities and industry insiders grabbed their seats at poker tables on Monday, May 18, 2015, to raise $137,200 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS at the inaugural edition of Broadway Bets. Hosted by Sardi's restaurant in the heart of New York City's theatre district, Broadway Bets(#broadwaybets), a first-of-its-kind Broadway poker tournament, offered the theatre community a new and unique way to support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Living on Love opens tonight, April 20, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). The production will play an 18-week engagement through Sunday, August 2, 2015.

Today, April 18th, TDF will host a special reception and performance of The Heidi Chronicles to celebrate the show's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein, and to raise funds for the arts education program she co-founded, TDF's Open Doors. Open Doors, now in its 17th year, is the first arts education program to be awarded a special Tony Honor for 'Excellence in the Theatre.'
