Due to unprecedented demand, the Menier Chocolate Factory Production of Funny Girl transfers to the Savoy Theatre in London's West End, following the sold out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory which begins later this month. Michael Mayer's production, starring Olivier and BAFTA award-winning actress Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice and with the cast from the Menier Chocolate Factory, will begin performances at the Savoy Theatre on 9 April 2016 for a strictly limited 12-week run until 2 July 2016. The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces full casting for their production of Funny Girl. Joining Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice are Valda Aviks (Mrs O'Malley), Natasha J Barnes (Emma/Mrs Meeker), Darius Campbell (Nick), Marilyn Cutts (Mrs Brice), Maurice Lane (Mr Keeney), Bruce Montague (Ziegfeld), Joel Montague (Eddie), Gay Soper (Mrs Strakosh); withEmma Caffrey, Matthew Croke, Joelle Dyson, Rebecca Fennelly, Luke Fetherston, Leah Harris, Kelly Homewood, Sammy Kelly and Stuart Ramsay completing the ensemble.

In the process of assuring fans that Sheridan Smith's portrayal of the iconic 'Fanny Brice' will be all her own when Funny Girl opens at Menier Chocolate Factory this November, the Daily Mail has revealed more of the musical's cast!

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production opens tonight, September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

FUNNY GIRL is getting a bit of a makeover! According to Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye, KINKY BOOTS book writer Harvey Fierstein will rework the book for the upcoming (and already sold-out) London revival of Funny Girl, starring Sheridan Smith.

Producer Jeffrey Finn and Center Theatre Group announced today that Emmy winner Sean Hayes will play God in a limited six-week engagement of the new Broadway play AN ACT OF GOD at the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, January 30 through March 13, 2016. The hit comedy arrives in Los Angeles after finishing a critically acclaimed Broadway run.
