MTC's WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID with Cherry Jones Begins Performances Tonight

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID, the new play by Sarah Treem ('House of Cards,' 'In Treatment'), directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Clybourne Park), begins performances tonight at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). This strictly limited engagement will open Tuesday, June 17. Tickets for the production are currently on sale through Sunday, August 10.

The limited engagement will start previews Wednesday, May 21 and open Tuesday, June 17 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

NJ Rep Premieres New Musical DATE OF A LIFETIME Tonight

New Jersey Repertory Company will present the new musical 'Date of a Lifetime' with book and lyrics by Carl Kissin and music by Robert Baumgartner, Jr., produced in association with Hat on a Hat, LLC, tonight, March 6 through April 6, 2014 at 179 Broadway in Long Branch. Marlo Hunter is the Director/Choreographer and Daniel Rein is the Musical Director.

DATE OF A LIFETIME to Run 3/6-4/6 at NJ Rep

It's a jungle out there! Finding a soul mate can be an exhausting experience for lonely hearts looking for love in all the wrong places. But for Marvin and Katie, it's kismet when their eyes first meet at a speed dating event. During their brief time together, they imagine what their lives would be like if they allowed this momentary encounter to evolve to the next level. Their decisions may determine their entire future and whether this will turn out to be a date from hell or a date of a lifetime.

TimeLine to Present Sarah Treem's THE HOW AND THE WHY, 1/28-4/6

TimeLine Theatre Company continues its 2013-14 season with The How and the Why, a smart and provocative new play about science, family and survival of the fittest by Sarah Treem, the acclaimed writer/producer for Netflix's House of Cards and HBO's In Treatment. The How and the Why will run at TimeLine Theatre, 615 W. Wellington Avenue in Chicago, February 6 - April 6, 2014 (previews January 28 - February 5). Press opening is Thursday, February 6 at 7:30 pm.

New York Philanthropists Joan and George Hornig Launch Sundance Institute Theatre Club

On October 31, Joan and George Hornig hosted the launch of the first-ever Sundance Institute Theatre Club: a private dinner for 18 guests at Lafayette in New York with special guests Lisa Kron & Jeanine Tesori, playwrights of the much-raved-about new musical, Fun Home. The Theatre Club features private events showcasing projects supported by the Institute's Theatre Program now on stage in New York.

Cherry Jones Set for BROADWAY TALKS WITH JORDAN ROTH Tonight

92nd Street Y has announced that Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, continues his popular interview series, 'Broadway Talks with Jordan Roth,' with award winning stage and screen star Cherry Jones tonight, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Jones, the Emmy and Tony Award-winning star of '24' and Doubt, will return to the Broadway stage this season as Amanda Wingfield in Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie.

MTC's THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA, with Blythe Danner and Sarah Jessica Parker, Extends thru January 26, 2014

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that due to overwhelming demand, THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA, the world premiere play currently in rehearsals at MTC, is extending an additional three weeks. The limited engagement, which begins previews on Tuesday, October 22 in advance of a Thursday, November 21 opening at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street), must close on Sunday, January 26. This is the last possible extension for the production.
