In their search for their heart's desires, they encounter the inhabitants of Oz: Munchkins, Crows, Trees, Poppies, Winkies, Flying Monkeys, and a few witches, and learn that no matter how far our journeys take us - there's no place like home. Playing at Boulder's Dinner Theatre, The Wizard of Oz runs all summer long, tomorrow, May 18 - August 31, 2013.
Lakewood Cultural Center and Performance Now Theatre Company present "Once Upon a Mattress" Feb. 8 - 24 at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway (Wadsworth and Alameda). On Thursday, February 7 at noon, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production No Dogs Allowed, written by Sonia Manzano ('Maria' from Sesame Street), music by Stephan Lawrence, lyrics by Billy Aronson and directed by Edith Weiss. The show will run February 7 - April 12, 2013. Performances are 10:00 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, select Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. For specific show dates please check our website.
