The Flea Theater is proud to announce the addition of six new Resident Directors to its intensive practicum for early-career directors. Rebecca Aparicio, Jake Beckhard, Daniella Caggiano, Lauren DeLeon, Will Steinberger, and Raz Golden will join the current group of Resident Directors.

Me quiero ir al mar es la primera exposición individual de Francisco Icaza en el Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes. Reúne más de 145 piezas, entre las que sobresalen sus series de pinturas con algún eje en común, como es precisamente el mar, la X, las aves o el Sol. Fue inaugurada la noche del jueves 13 de junio en el recinto del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL), donde permanecerá hasta el 8 de septiembre.

Celebrating its 37th anniversary, Outfest - the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen - today announced the complete programming lineup for the 2019 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, presented by HBO. The nation's leading LGBTQ festival will be held July 18-28, 2019.

Brennan O'Rourke will present their first full-length play IT'S A BLUR as part of The Queerly Festival, presented by Frigid New York, on Friday, June 28 at 7pm at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003). The play, a work-in-progress, is written and produced by Brennan O'Rourke and directed by Salome Egas.

The project's first EP, I Don't Want To Play The Victim, But I'm Really Good At It, recorded between London and LA and featuring a raft of musical collaborators, is out in September via Good Soldier Songs / AWAL Recordings.

The school schedule is winding down, the sun shines a bit longer in the day, fireflies come out of their hibernation and the Kentucky Shakespeare Company begins their season. This year will mark the venerable company's 59th Anniversary and they are still going strong. So what magic is weaved that keeps this program going year after year? The answer is quite simple really and can be summed up in a few words: imagination, reinvention, education, and dedication. All of these were on full display in the season opener of As You Like It.
