The Flea Theater is proud to announce the addition of six new Resident Directors to its intensive practicum for early-career directors. Rebecca Aparicio, Jake Beckhard, Daniella Caggiano, Lauren DeLeon, Will Steinberger, and Raz Golden will join the current group of Resident Directors.

Brennan O'Rourke will present their first full-length play IT'S A BLUR as part of The Queerly Festival, presented by Frigid New York, on Friday, June 28 at 7pm at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003). The play, a work-in-progress, is written and produced by Brennan O'Rourke and directed by Salome Egas.

Two River Theater presents Oo-Bla-Dee, written by Regina Taylor, featuring original lyrics by Taylor and original music by composer/orchestrator Diedre L. Murray, directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The choreography is by Kenneth L. Roberson and the music direction is by George Caldwell, with vocal arrangements by Carol Maillard.

Matthew “Murph” Murphy - guitarist and lead singer of indie pop trio The Wombats - has announced his debut solo project Love Fame Tragedy. The project's first EP, I Don't Want To Play The Victim, But I'm Really Good At It, recorded between London and LA and featuring a raft of musical collaborators, is out in September via Good Soldier Songs / AWAL Recordings.

The Raconteurs – Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler – have unveiled “Bored and Razed,” the latest track from their long-awaited new album, HELP US STRANGER (Third Man Records). “Bored and Razed” – featured earlier today on Apple Music's Beats 1 as Zane Lowe's World Record – is available now for streaming and download. The band also released an official lyric video for the track.

Absolute success in its Carioca season, the show Ao som de Raul Seixas 'Merlin e Arthur, Um Sonho de Liberdade' premieres on June 7, in Sao Paulo, and brings a creative artistic innovation: the languages of theater, cinema and design will be used for the first time together in the musical theater.

Experimental Bitch Presents (EBP) new production, Jack of Cups by Gabriel Rodriguez, opened  to a packed house at The Flea Theater on Saturday, June 2. The post-apocalyptic play was followed by an Opening Night Party at the theater.
