TNC Presents New Yiddish Rep In DI FROYEN" (THE WOMEN) This January

From January 22-30, Theater for the New City will present the New Yiddish Rep's production of 'Di Froyen' (The Women), based on the play 'Women's Minyan' by Naomi Ragen, adapted for the Yiddish Rep by Melissa Weisz and Malky Goldman. Director is Rachel Botchan.  The play is a one-act drama of an abused Orthodox Jewish wife who is being kept from her children.

Nervous Theatre to Present BECKETT'S TEXTS FOR NOTHING

Nervous Theatre will present Boston actor Doug Lockwood in an intimate new staging of Samuel Beckett's Texts for Nothing. Lockwood's performance of Beckett's texts will be presented three times each night for audiences of 12 in this searing 30-minute production.

A brand-new stage adaptation of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is set to be a major new theatre production. Written by Deborah Moggach, adapted from her bestselling novel which inspired the BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated film, and directed by Lucy Bailey, the cherished story will be brought to life on stage when it opens at the Richmond Theatre on Tuesday, 30th August 2022.

In 2012, Trevor Nunn’s All That Falls went on to become an international hit and in 2020 it saw Beckett Triple Bill with Nunn at the helm again. But times have changed and post-pandemic theatre (although one could say we’re not there yet) - as much as it strives to be the same as before - is different. And Beckett can be very dark. There’s something almost morbid in doing two of his lesser known short plays at the moment, but it works so well.
