The Recording Academy will honor its 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients with 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' an awards ceremony and live tribute concert on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, the Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and John Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY Award recipients. Also being honored is Melissa Salguero, this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award. Led by GRAMMY®-nominated industry icon Greg Phillinganes as musical director, the tribute concert will feature rare performances by honorees and never-seen renditions by those they've inspired. Currently scheduled to appear are eight-time GRAMMY winner Herb Alpert, who will honor Blaine; past GRAMMY nominee Micky Dolenz, who will be honoring Diamond; GRAMMY winner Sammy Hagar, who will pay tribute to Graham; 13-time GRAMMY winner and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Harris; past GRAMMY nominee Ledisi, who will salute Jordan; and three-time GRAMMY winner Trisha Yearwood, who will pay tribute to Harris. Presenters for the evening include actress Angela Bassett and GRAMMY winner Henry Rollins. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly. The Grateful Dead returns to cinemas this summer for its highly anticipated annual event, '8 th Annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies.' For the eighth year in a row, a special concert presentation will bring fans together across the country for a unique celebration of the band. This year's concert is a presentation of the July 7, 1989 show from Philadelphia's John F. Kennedy Stadium, and highlights the band's exuberant resurgence, a peak that rivals any that came before it. When this show was recorded, the band included guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, keyboardist Brent Mydland and guitarist Bob Weir. It marks the final concert at that historic venue as the band storms through an epic set on one of the hottest days of the summer. In addition to the concert, which captures every note of the epic show, attendees will also get an inside look at the 2018 Limited Edition Boxed Set.

On the 30th Anniversary of their platinum album, Blow My Fuse, Maryland hard rock icons, KIX will releaseFuse 30 Reblown on September 21, 2018, exactly 30 years after Blow My Fuse's original September 19, 1988 release date. KIX announced the release from the stage of the M3 Rock Festival where the band performed Blow My Fuse in its entirety last weekend to their hometown crowd.

By popular demand, Fathom Events, BY Experience and National Theatre Live announce the addition of two celebrated titles to the 2018 event cinema line-up. This includes director Marianne Elliot's production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" (originally recorded in 2012) in U.S. cinemas on Tuesday, June 12 and director Danny Boyle's 2011 staging of "Frankenstein" presented in cinemas in two versions on Monday, October 22 with Benedict Cumberbatch as Creature and on Monday, October 29 with Jonny Lee Miller as Creature. The events were captured live from the National Theatre in London during their original runs.

Moviegoers can experience the heart-wrenching story of three-time world champion surfer Andy Irons when 'Andy Irons: Kissed by God' comes to U.S. movie theaters this spring. As the opioid crisis rises to a national emergency in the United States and bipolar disorder affects approximately 5.7 million adult Americans (National Institute of Mental Health), the untold story of Irons' life serves to tear down the myths associated with these two ferocious diseases. The documentary features in-depth interviews with Andy's brother Bruce Irons, his wife Lyndie Irons, and fellow surfers Joel Parkinson, Nathan Fletcher, Sunny Garcia and Kelly Slater. In addition to the feature content, audiences will also view a Q&A with top experts in the field of opioid addiction and bipolar disorder, directors Steve and Todd Jones, as well as Andy's friends and family.

Theatre Arlington's 45th Anniversary Season is ready to cut loose...footloose that is, with the production of Footloose the Musical, opening on May 11th. The stage adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie is based on Pitchford's original screenplay. 

Two magical nights are in store for U.S. anime fans this June as the curtain goes up on the world premiere of the incredible English dub adventure, “Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] THE MOVIE I.presage flower.” The latest installation of the beloved Fate/stay night series by TYPE-MOON is the first part of the “[Heaven's Feel]” film trilogy. Fathom Events' live digital broadcast network, the largest cinema broadcast network in North America, will receive more than200 additional theaters over the next 12-18 months, expanding live event delivery capabilities to more than 1100 total cinemas and 1700 screens across the U.S. The expansion and upgrade is part of an extended agreement with DISH Network for the delivery of both pre-recorded and live cinema events.

Moviegoers across the country will be practicing their 'wax on, wax off' skills when Fathom Events and Youtube revive the beloved 'Karate Kid' saga with an exclusive, one-night cinema experience featuring the original 1984 classic, 'The Karate Kid,' coupled with an exclusive advance screening of the first two episodes from the new Youtube Red Original Series, 'Cobra Kai,' based on the Karate Kid franchise.
