New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) will release its next studio album Mi País: Songs of Argentina featuring bass-baritone Federico De Michelis and pianist and NYFOS Artistic Director Steven Blier on Friday, September 15, 2023 on NYFOS Records.

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota will present Sybarite5 opening the Tuesdays at the Historic Asolo Theater Series at 7:30 p.m. on November 15. They will perform their Groove Machine program with new dance-inspired works along with the world premiere of “Apartments” by Jackson Greenberg, which was commissioned for them.

Following a sold-out performance at the famed “Ballena Azul,” CCK in Buenos Aires, the multifaceted “virtuoso extraordinaire,” (Wynton Marsalis), Leonardo Suarez Paz, brings his genre-redefining, multidisciplinary performance to NYU Skirball, sharing his unique vision of the genre across a century of immigrant struggles and triumphs. Leonardo honors his mentor, Astor Piazzolla, the Argentine born and New York raised composer by recreating Nuevo Tango as an evolving, daring, artistically complex, and emotionally moving art form.

Leonardo Suarez Paz’s PIAZZOLLA 100 celebrates liberty and the invaluable contribution of immigrants and women to society, starting with our namesake, whose centennial will be celebrated in 2021.

Acclaimed string quintet Sybarite5 will honor Chamber Music America board member, and longtime supporter of innovative chamber music projects, James E. Rocco, at their 4th Annual Backers Ball in New York City on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 7-9 pm.  The event is in support of Sybarite5 as it continues its mission to change the perceptions of performance with cutting-edge concerts, dynamic new commissions, and engaging educational outreach.

Sybarite5 has quickly established a reputation for questioning audiences' perceptions of What is music? and Who plays what? Inspired by the alternative band Radiohead, the quintet continues to push the boundaries of what is concert music. Everything In Its Right Place brings it all full circle in a cohesive showcase of Sybarite5's regular playlist now accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. Selections include music by Piazzolla, as well as fan favorites written for the group from their new Album by Jessica Meyer, Piotr Szewczyk, Shawn Conley, and Dan Visconti
