The Shakespeare Theatre Company continues celebrating its 25th Anniversary Season with the second installment of the Bard's Broadway series with the Tony Award winning musical Two Gentlemen of Verona (a rock opera) performing January 27-29, 2012 at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). Galt MacDermot, John Guare and Mel Shapiro come together to create the music, lyrics and book that add a spicy, funky twist to Shakespeare's work of the same name.

The developmental concert presentation of ISLAND SONG, a new song cycle with Music and Lyrics by Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, will be presented on Sunday, October 16th at 92YTribeca (200 Hudson St, just south of Canal) at 7:00 PM. Libra Theater Company announces In the Balance, a quarterly reading series of both contemporary and established plays. Starting this October, the company will present an eclectic mix of four plays at performance venues around the city. Each reading will begin with a pre-show reception with the director and cast.
