Philadelphia Theatre Company announced its 46th season last night prior to the broadcast of Days of Re-Creation, a rolling world premiere by Masi Asare, AriDy Nox, Erlina Ortiz, SEVAN, Nandita Shenoy, BD Wong, and Lauren Yee, by inviting audiences to Turn On, Tune In, as the company programs for the virtual space during the 2020-21 Season.

Philadelphia Theatre Company begins its 46th season with the rolling world premiere of The Days of Re-Creation: A Virtual Play on September 30th at 7pm.

In the midst of a?oedarkness on the face of the deepa??, new works development organization Live & In Color is launching their latest online initiative Days of Re-Creation, a seven part series of short plays written to be performed specifically on a virtual platform.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director), with the generous support of the Alhadeff Family Charitable Foundation, is excited to announce the winners of NAMT's 15-Minute Musical Challenge.

Pulp Vérité, a new play by playwright Crystal Skillman will receive a 29-hour reading with the award-winning The Workshop Theater. The presentation will culminate in two readings on March 6th at 3 and 7 PM, at the A.R.T/NY studios (520 8th Avenue), in the Bruce Mitchell Room. The reading is free, and reservations can be made at www.workshoptheater.org.

Live & In Color, located in Salem, CT, is looking for playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and/or other underrepresented communities interested in developing a new musical or play during their annual fall retreat in September 2020. This November, Canada's only disability-led opera company is launching their eighth season with one of the funniest operas in the repertoire. On November 15, 16, 22 and 23, Opera Mariposa will present Puccini's one-act comedy Gianni Schicchi at St. Faith's Anglican Church in Vancouver, alongside a staged performance of Italian opera scenes.

Theatre Row has announced the recipients of the first-ever Kitchen Sink Residency, its most ambitious initiative yet, designed to nurture smaller, emerging performing arts companies

'Habitat: Home' is a nationwide community-building project powered by live art. Upcoming performances in New York City will bring performers and audiences together across boroughs to explore what 'home' means right now. These timely programs will intermingle music, poetry, theater, video, and dance in styles unique to local artists, celebrating underrepresented voices and connecting participants through shared experience.

Artistic Director Devanand Janki continues to gather a diverse group of New York theatre professionals at the Bingham Camp in Salem, Connecticut to develop new works with his theatre company, Live & In Color. Now entering their 5th annual artistic residency, Live & In Color is an innovative theatrical program during which artists spend time in a rural setting creating work that gives voice to underrepresented communities onstage.

Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis and Producing Director Will Rucker, will begin performances of Mrs. Christie, the second World Premiere production of the 42nd Season, on August 1, 2019. The play is written by Heidi Armbruster and has been developed in the Festival's acclaimed Women Artists Writing Group since 2016.

Just last week, Gwon previewed some of the new songs at Green Room 42, featuring  cast member Taylor Iman Jones, plus Dave Thomas Brown, Arielle Jacobs, Jessica Vosk, Bonnie Milligan, Ben Fankhauser, Deborah S. This weekend, Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, presents Message In A Bottle, a collection of original mini-musicals in concert, the culmination of Prospect's annual musical theater lab process. Message In A Bottle, the company's 13th lab production, will be presented on Saturday, June 1 at 7:30pm and Sunday, June 2 at 2:00pm at The A.R.T. / New York Theatres (502 West 53rd St, NYC). The lab will feature performances by an ensemble of Prospect alumni artists, and newcomers: Joanna Carpenter, Christopher Cherry, Diego Diaz, Ellis Gage, Alyssa Gomez, Sevan Greene, Jiho Kang, Patty Nieman, Allison Posner, Alicia Thomas, and Jeff Williams.

Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis, will mount two world premiere productions during the 42nd Season. DIG, written and directed by Theresa Rebeck (July 11-27, 2019), and MRS. CHRISTIE by Heidi Armbruster (August 1-17, 2019) fall between the Festival's previously announced runs of Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES (June 20-July 6, 2019) and SLOW FOOD by Wendy MacLeod (August 22-31, 2019) at the Dorset Playhouse (104 Cheney Road, Dorset, VT 05251).
