Many women have taken to social media to celebrate the day by posting photos of themselves flexing in honor of the iconic World War II era Rosie the Riveter. Rosie was symbolic of the millions of American women who kept the country running while many young men were over seas fighting. The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will give aspiring Toronto-area performers a chance to make their "big break" when the program presents Generation: The 2015 Summer Intensive Tour. The national non-profit training program, making a stop in Toronto for the very first time, will present an incredible roster of Broadway directors, performers, and industry insiders who will offer highly personalized musical theatre training and mentoring through unique, week-long performing arts intensive workshops for students of all ages, skill levels, and socio-economic backgrounds.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), in partnership with the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, returns to Philadelphia for a weeklong musical theater intensive, August 2-9, during which Philadelphia's most promising performers will receive unprecedented instruction from the industry's top directors, choreographers and professionals. To conclude the weeklong intensive, BDF will present GENERATION, a unique Broadway-style revue featuring performances by Broadway veterans and emerging local talent.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is proud to announce the performer lineup for Women of Note, a one-night-only concert event celebrating the women writers who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. Theatre Aspen Director of Education announced today that tickets are on sale for The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) revue entitled GENERATION, a unique Broadway concert event, with performances by Aspen's aspiring young actors alongside Broadway talent, including Nick Adams (Wicked), Kyle Brown (Legally Blonde), Craig D'Amico (Annie Get Your Gun), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Greg Kamp (Catch Me If You Can), and Ryann Redmond (If/Then, Bring It On). Directed by director / choreographer Otis Sallid, who conceived, directed and choreographed the original production of Smokey Joe's Cafe, and of late has choreographed the Superbowl and the Academy Awards, GENERATION promises to sweep audiences away with dynamic and uplifting performances by a whole new generation of talented, young performers paying tribute to the incredible Broadway legends who came before.
