Movie star and Oscar winner for Crazy Heart, Jeff Bridges & The Abiders, his band, are coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, September 6, at 8 p.m. to do what Jeff loves to do when he's not acting: perform his brand of country music.

Nashville's The Wild Feathers will perform 'The Ceiling' on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Friday, September 6th. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson airs at 12:35am/11:35pm CT on CBS. 'The Ceiling' is the first single off the band's self-titled debut album, which opened at #1 on last week's BillboardHeatseekers chart. The Jay Joyce (Cage the Elephant, Emmylou Harris)-produced release came out August 13th via Warner Bros Records.

The Wild Feathers are continuing their touring streak through the summer: they have been confirmed to play Nashville's Live on the Green September 12th. This addition comes on the heels of a tour with Ryan Bingham, dates with Bob Dylan and stops at the Sasquatch and Hangout Festivals, as well as Milwaukee's Summerfest and Louisville's Forecastle Festival. This month, the Nashville five-piece will be joining the legendary Willie Nelson for a string of west coast dates, followed by a nationwide run supporting ZZ Ward. Full tour dates are below.

I have to admit, at first I thought I was being lied to when I was told that Stephen King and John Mellencamp collaborated on a musical. With one listen, it was more than apparent that the bluesy, folk-rock music on the disc expertly captures Americana in a sinister and foreboding way.

The Sasquatch! Music Festival has announced that the 2013 event has completely sold out in record time, less than 90 minutes after going on sale. The festival, hailed as 'a model of well-paced programming...in a four-day schedule as efficient and natural feeling as an expertly built algorithm' by NPR Music while Wired notes, 'leave the landscape out of it and Sasquatch! has a lineup to kill for,' runs May 24-27 (Memorial Day Weekend) at The Gorge, the internationally acclaimed concert venue carved in the basalt cliffs high above the Columbia River Gorge in Quincy, WA.
