La MaMa, in association with Crossing Jamaica Avenue, presents the New York Premiere of the acclaimed Deadly She-Wolf Assassin at Armageddon!, featuring original music and a concept by Fred Ho, co-written by Fred Ho and Ruth Margraff, directed by Sonoko Kawahara, with martial arts choreography by Emmanuel Brown (Broadway's Spiderman) and Japanese sword fighting choreography by Yoshi Amao. The show runs from May 16 - June 2, 2013 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue & the Bowery. Previews begin May 16 for a May 18 opening at 7:30pm. Pivot Arts launches a new celebration of innovative theater, music and dance in unique and often historic spaces from June 6 - 22, 2013 throughout Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods. The inaugural PIVOT MULTI-ARTS FESTIVAL answers the City's call for a reinvigorated Uptown Entertainment District by uniting artists, businesses and local organizations around multidisciplinary "pop-up" performances occurring in a former Vaudeville Theater, an at-one-time Charlie Chaplin film studio and other historic spaces throughout these communities.

The New York Philharmonic will present A Dancer's Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky, a multidisciplinary, theatrical reimagining of the ballets The Fairy's Kiss and Petrushka, created by Giants Are Small. Sara Mearns, New York City Ballet principal dancer, will star in the production, which will be conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, directed and designed by Doug Fitch, choreographed by Karole Armitage, and produced by Edouard Getaz - Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m.

Trap Door Theatre is a proud participant in the international reading scheme for 2012 OBIE Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich's new play Spark. The script-reading scheme has been developed to honor US war veterans, to shed light on the plight of female veterans in particular, and to raise increased awareness for their stories by presenting multiple free readings across the United States and abroad during the month of November.

Adapted and directed by Sonja Moser and performed by an ensemble of 17 Illinois State University undergrads. Electra opens tonight, July 6th and runs thru July 29th, 2012. Performances are Friday & Saturday at 8 PM plus Saturday & Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets are $20. (Parking is available at the Mobil gas station across from the theater for a fee.)
