Now through 12 August, 2012, the Criterion Theatre presents Playing The Games, a programme of work that celebrates both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians. As part of the programme, Sam Hodges, Producer of the Criterion Theatre, has commissioned two new plays by emerging British playwrights Serge Cartwright and Adam Brace in response to the presence of the Olympic Games in London. From 26 July - 12 August 2012, the Criterion Theatre will present Playing The Games, a programme of work which will celebrate both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians. Sam Hodges, Producer of the Criterion Theatre, has commissioned two new plays by emerging British playwrights Serge Cartwright and Adam Brace in response to the presence of the Olympic Games in London-After the Party and Taking Part, respectively. According to Whatsonstage, BBC series Gavin & Stacey could be getting the West End treatment in the near future. Co-creator Ruth Jones told the Evening Standard: 'We'd love to do Gavin & Stacey: The Musical. I know it is something James wants to do too. I saw Billy Elliot on stage the other day and I thought it would be something good to do. It's something I would definitely be up for.'

BBC returns to Comic-Con with a full line-up of panels, screenings, signings and exclusive merchandise at the BBC America booth (#3629). BBC America's hit sci-fi show 'Being Human,' which follows three twenty-somethings living double lives as a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost, returns for an all-new US premiere season the same weekend as Comic-Con. Creator/writer Toby Whithouse will join cast members Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow, Aidan Turner, and Sinead Keenan on stage for a fan Q&A and signing at the BBC America booth (#3629). 'Being Human' premieres on BBC America on Saturday, July 24, directly following the 'Doctor Who' season finale. 'Being Human' Season 1 DVD/Blu-ray hits stores on July 20.
