The full lineup of performers have been announced for the 26th Annual ROCKERS ON BROADWAY. The event will honor TONY Award-winner for The Color Purple a?" LA CHANZE and legendary Grammy Award-winning music producer a?" RUSS TITELMAN.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

Sultry songstress  Abigail Rockwell debuts her Autumn Noir show at Birdland Theater - Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 7 pm. Rockwell's voice has been compared to Morgana King and Julie London, her new album described by Chris Spector of Midwest Record as 'wonderfully out of the ordinary due solely to her interpretive skills and style, Autumn Noir is the high water mark for all vocalists to come to follow'. David Kenney of WBAI 99.5 FM's Everything Old Is New Again Radio Show in New York selected Autumn Noir as one of his top holiday picks of 2018. Rockwell first began performing at the Four Seasons Resort - The Biltmore in Montecito, CA, she premiered in Los Angeles at Tar Pit, opened by Top Chef Mark Peel. She then made it back east and had her New York City debut at the celebrated Metropolitan Room.

The critically acclaimed conversation series Speakeasy will return for a fourth season in select cities beginning January 7th and on the WORLD channel at 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 13th, check local listings for additional times. Queens Library will celebrate the 5th anniversary of its increasingly popular Culture Connection program with five concerts at five library locations, featuring a number of Broadway and jazz artists, and showcasing various flavors of the genres, from Broadway standards to Afro-Cuban jazz. Performers will include stars like Alton Fitzgerald White, best known for his role of King Mustafa in 'The Lion King,' and internationally acclaimed Cuban pianist Dayramir Gonzalez, as well as rising artists, who have already become strong and recognizable voices in the New York City jazz scene.

Multiple Tony Award winning producer Corey Brunish has had his new musical selected as a finalist for London's BEAM2018 Festival to take place in March of 2018.Out of 300 applicants, only 8 have been selected for a 25 minute presentation.Brunish wrote the musical with twins Dina and Rosabella Gregory.(fotos enclosed)The musical is called My Marcello and is a comedy about love in a small Italian village.

It was a memorable eventing of music in New York City last night as John Pizzarelli with Daniel Jobim and Special Guest Jessica Molaskey opened at Birdland on 44th street and Michael Feinstein opened on 54th street.
