ONCE in London Sets Closing Date

Following the news that Broadway's Once will be closing, the West End production announced it will close on March 21, 2015. Irish pop superstar Ronan Keating will be joining the London production November 17 and will remain for the rest of the musical's run.

Deerfield Veterinary Hospital has acknowledged that Dr. Ned Caldwell and Dr. Denise Roche recently received awards for their volunteer efforts with charities in the Springfield, Mo. area. Founding partners at Deerfield Veterinary Hospital, the duo has long been heavily involved with community building and voluntarism for non-profit organizations. Earlier this summer, the Junior League of Springfield, Mo. presented Dr. Roche the 'Cheri Clark Bouquet of Enthusiasm Award' for her dedication, volunteer work and cheerful spirit. Soon after, the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast recognized Dr. Caldwell with the 'Lend A Hand Award' for his day-to-day commitment and exemplary service through impactful committees.

Last night (17 March 20134) the six-time Olivier award nominated musical Once celebrated its first birthday in the West End, joining forces with the charity Oxfam specifically fundraising for their Mother Appeal. Also celebrating St Patrick's Day, the production welcomed their new cast led by Arthur Darvill, who joins the London production having played the role on Broadway. Darvill plays opposite Zrinka Cviteši? as Girl. Check out the photos below!

Today, 10 March 2014, Once was nominated for six prestigious 2014 Olivier Awards. The critically-acclaimed show has been nominated for Mastercard Best New Musical, Zrinka Cviteši? for Best Actress In A Musical, Steven Hoggett for Best Theatre Choreographer, Martin Lowe, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova for Autograph Sound Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music, Bob Crowley for XL Video Award for Best Set Design and Clive Goodwin for Best Sound Design.

Same Planet Different World Dance Theatre (SPDW), a Chicago-based modern dance ensemble, launches its 15th Anniversary with a spring mixed repertory program featuring two World Premieres by guest choreographer Peter Carpenter and SPDW Artistic Director Joanna Rosenthal, along with reprisals of work by Chicagoan Colleen Halloran and former Stephen Petronio Company dancer and rehearsal director, Ashleigh Leite.
