TKTS Will Now Display Ticket Prices at Discount Booths

TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, has just announced that it is piloting a new way of posting available shows for sale at its Times Square and South Street Seaport TKTS by TDF Discount Booths. Beginning today, Monday, October 1, the boards listing the Broadway and Off Broadway shows will display the discounted ticket price rather than the percentage of the discount. TDF is introducing this change to help its patrons have all the information they need as they choose their productions. The price displayed on the board and on the TKTS app will be the discounted price (50-20% off full price) with all service charges included, so the patron can see exactly what the tickets cost. The prices will also be displayed on the TKTS app, and at www.tdf.org/tktslive.

BWW Review: HIR at Shakespeare & Company pushes boundaries in a powerful examination of why people “DO” like they “DO”.

HIR is anything but traditional. Playwright Taylor Mac has termed his work 'absurd realism' wherein 'the absurdity comes from a heightened but realistic point of view'. Those bold, brave, and open enough to sit in the discomfort that may come with looking at things from diverse points of view will be rewarded with a rich, and very real perspective on the world in which we live.

BWW Review: Artistry's LEGALLY BLONDE Proposes Illegal, Incomparable Delight in Pink

Woods comma Elle descended upon the cultural scene wrapped up as Reese Witherspoon in the 2001 film "Legally Blonde." "Legally Blonde 2" followed shortly after. Bloomington's Artistry  Theater at the Bloomington Center for the Arts opened the Broadway version of the film based on the musical's New York 2007 debut, after which the musical was christened with a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical. The music and lyrics by composed by Neil Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe, Heather Hach delivered a clever book for the production. In the film and the musical, Elle Woods wins the audiences' hearts with her unabashed love of anything pink and plucky confidence that overflows throughout the story.
