August's ShakesBEER takes place in Hell's Kitchen on Saturday, August 9 and Saturday, August 16. The event kicks off at Mercury Bar (659 9th Avenue between 45th & 46th Streets) before moving on to three more bars still to be announced. Admission is $45, which includes four drink tickets redeemable for beer, wine and select cocktails at the participating bars. Check-in begins at 2:30 PM at Mercury Bar for the 3 PM kick off. JustFilms, the Ford Foundation's social justice film fund, is providing major support to eight independent films selected for competition and premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, the world's leading showcase for independent filmmaking.

The Line-Up has been announced for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival which will be held in Utah this January. The event marks the Festival's 29th year. This year, 113 feature-length films representing 32 countries will be presented.
