Sundance Institute Selects Six Creative Teams and Projects for New Frontier Story Lab

Sundance Institute today announced the six projects selected for the New Frontier Story Lab that will take place from October 21-26 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Inspired by New Frontier at the Sundance Film Festival and built on the Sundance Institute Lab model, the Lab is supporting projects that use technology to deepen story and engage audiences.

Being presented in London for the first time in 30 years, the King's Head Theatre presents the first ever London revival of Tennessee Williams' autobiographical play Vieux Carre, about an aspiring young writer, and the bizarre, poignant and funny characters he encounters at a New Orleans boarding house. Tennessee Williams' Autobiographical VIEUX CARRÉ Opens at the King's Head Tonight, July 13

Being presented in London for the first time in 30 years, the King's Head Theatre presents the first ever London revival of Tennessee Williams' autobiographical play Vieux Carre, about an aspiring young writer, and the bizarre, poignant and funny characters he encounters at a New Orleans boarding house. Vieux Carre's opening night is tonight, July 13 at 7.15pm.

Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund Recipients Announced

The Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) and Gucci today announced the 2012 recipients selected for the Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund. The Fund, now in its fifth year, provides finishing finances, year-round support and guidance to domestic and international documentary filmmakers with feature-length films highlighting and humanizing issues of social importance from around the world. Eight projects have been selected from a record 697 submissions from 56 countries to receive a total of $150,000, to be administered by the Tribeca Film Institute.

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Docs Series Travels to Zimbabwe

'Music by Prudence' and 'Mugabe and the White African' will screen as the next installment in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 29th annual 'Contemporary Documentaries' series on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood. Admission to all screenings in the series is free.
