The Wickedly Wacky Wizard of Oz brings some of Toronto's best and brightest talent together on one stage in this quirky and fun twist on the old classic. BWW is thrilled to be spending a week with the cast talking holiday traditions. Today we speak with the lovable Yvan Pednault, fresh off his star turn in Rock of Ages and now playing the Tin Man.

Billy Elliot has been playing to Toronto audiences since March, and sadly will be ending its very successful run on September 3rd. Recently the show welcomed some Canadian musical theatre veterans to the roles of Billy's Dad and brother. BWW was on hand to speak with Jake Epstein about what the journey has been like for him.

On Tuesday June 21st The National Ballet of Canada transformed Toronto's Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts into a MAD HOT Wonderland for their annual fundraising gala. Over 1800 people came out in support of the ballet, and BWW was on hand to capture photos of the spectacular and lavish event.

Over the coming weeks, five Canadian actors will join the cast, three in major roles.

The Canadian Stage TD Dream in High Park presents Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare's timeless tale of ill-fated lovers and feuding families. Jeff Irving stars as Romeo (Ross Petty's Robin Hood, Mirvish Productions' Sound of Music and Canadian Stage/Citadel Theatre's The December Man /L'homme de décembre) and Christine Horne stars as Juliet (The Stone Angel with Ellen Burstyn and KICK Theatre's Miss Julie: Sheh'mah).

As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.
