Tara Arts and Polka Theatre have today announced that their co-production of Three Sat Under The Banyan Tree is set to head on a UK tour from 20th January - 2nd March 2019. The production originally played at The Polka Theatre in September 2018.

THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW – NOW IN LIVING COLOR!, a new one-hour special with two newly colorized back-to-back classic episodes of the beloved 1960s series, will be broadcast Friday, Dec. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series creator and co-star Carl Reiner personally selected the two episodes to showcase his favorite episodes featuring Dick Van Dyke.

Polka Theatre today announce full casting for Shamser Sinha's Three Sat Under The Banyan Tree based on The Panchatantra - India's Aesop's Fables. Artistic Director of Tara Arts, Jatinder Verma directs Rose-Marie Christian (Jayaben - Crow story), Medhavi Patel (Yasmin - Leopard story) and Raj Swamy (Mahendra - Mongoose story). The production opens on 3 October, with previews from 28 September, and runs until 21 October.

Playwright Daniel McCoy's new comedy Dick Pix is currently running at Theaterlab in mid-town Manhattan. Dick Pix is directed by Heidi Handelsman and runs through August 11. The production is running in rotation with McCoy's drama, Perfect Teeth.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. The School of Fashion at Academy of Art University will host its annual Graduation Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 26, 2018. The invitation-only event begins with select graduating students from the M.F.A. and B.F.A. programs presenting their work to industry professionals. The programs include: fashion design, textile design, knitwear design, 3D design and pattern making, costume design, journalism, styling, product development, visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, and fashion marketing. The fashion show portion of the event will include womenswear, menswear and childswear collections; several of the collections were created through collaboration by students within the fashion, knitwear and textile design programs.

Entertainment icon, Rose Marie, loved every part of her career, but more than acting or singing, it was making people laugh that was her greatest professional joy. To know that her contribution to the "art of comedy" would be included and recognized by the National Comedy Center would surely count as one of her greatest honors.
