Triad Stage Presents THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP
by A.A. Cristi - Sep 28, 2016

From England's mysterious moors to the depths of an Egyptian tomb, no one is safe from the terrors of bad puns and dueling dulcimers in The Mystery of Irma Vep, a raucous parody of Victorian morals and Hollywood horror by anarchic comic genius Charles Ludlam. Be afraid, be just a little bit afraid as Triad Stage returns to the smash hit from its first season, the play that The New York Times called 'the funniest two hours anywhere.'

BWW Reviews: YENTL Disappoints at Cleveland Play House
by Roy Berko - Jan 16, 2014

The opening night audience for YENTL failed to give the standard Cleveland standing ovation. This might be construed as an omen that there was a disconnect between the viewers and the production. I wanted so much to really be swept away by the production. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

BWW Reviews: Fast Paced ANIMAL CRACKERS Opens Williamstown Theatre Fest
by Larry Murray - Jun 28, 2013

It may be an economy sized production, but it fills the bill as one of the funniest musical comedies ever conceived. Williamstown Theatre Festival goes all out to deliver a full course of music, theatre and dance for this venerable joyride.

by Larisa Mount - Feb 9, 2013

PlayMakers Repertory Company in Chapel Hill is currently showing Lorraine Hansberry's 1959 play A Raisin in the Sun, playing in rotating repertory with Bruce Norris's sequel-of-sorts, Clybourne Park. In some ways a period piece, and in some ways shockingly current, A Raisin in the Sun is a gutsy look at race in America, from a voice and perspective that had gone largely silenced until the play's original production.
