The YWCA USA will celebrate the incredible achievements of extraordinary leaders who serve as role models for women and girls at the Women of Distinction Awards Gala on June 5, at 6 pm at the Grand Hyatt Washington, as part of their 2015 Annual Conference. 

Edward R. Matthews, CEO of United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (UCP of NYC), and Loreen Arbus, Founder & Chair of Women Who Care, announced today that Susan Lucci, star of the hit series 'Devious Maids,' Emmy award-winning actress from 'All My Children,' host of Investigation Discovery's 'Deadly Affairs,' and New York Times best-selling author, will return for the third consecutive year as host of The 14th Annual Women Who Care Awards Luncheon.

The luncheon benefits United Cerebral Palsy of New York City and celebrates the accomplishments of extraordinary women as professionals, philanthropists and caregivers, who have broken glass ceilings and inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors. Ms. Carter will receive The Women Who Care Luella Bennack Philanthropy Award.

Tonight, October 24 at 7:30pm, Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street -- between Rivington & Delancey) will proudly present the World-Premiere presentation and Special Equity Showcase production of MAMA ROSE, a solo performance art/experimental play with music about Rose Waits, a woman from Buffalo who could have ruled the world if they had let her.

Playwright Ericka Nicole Malone is looking to take her popular Gospel Musical "In Love with Tyrone" to the Big Apple and is currently in talks with directors and producers to bring the touring show to Broadway for a run on the "Great White Way." Malone has partnered with a famed New York City General Manager and Tony Award-winning Producer, who has produced past and current shows on Broadway.

Sultry pop-rock diva Liz Allen is making quite the splash with her debut music video for 'Ride of Your Life' on Vevo and is gearing up to put out an official EP set for release in the fourth quarter of 2014.
