The 44th season of Lincoln Center Out of Doors, one of the country's longest-running, free summer outdoor festivals opens on July 20. A wide range of music and dance artists, premieres and debuts, family programs and notable anniversaries, highlighted by exciting new collaborations with Americana Music Association, Brasil Summerfest, Film Society of Lincoln Center, globalFEST, andSeeger Fest will take place across three weeks and more than 100 performances. GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester makes her Cafe Carlyle debut in a new show, You Gotta Love The Life, through June 21. Accompanying herself on piano, she performs a selection of hits spanning her career, along with several songs from her upcoming album. She is joined on stage by Stephan Oberhoff (keyboard, guitar) and Susan Holder (vocals, percussion).

The Songs of Our Lives provides a unique opportunity to experience these pieces as the songwriter envisioned them. The intimate setting of this event gives guests the chance to be up close and personal with these artists. Award-winning songwriter Charles Fox, a longtime Fulfillment Fund board member along with his wife Joan Fox, created 'The Songs of Our Lives' as an opportunity to combine entertainment and philanthropy in a meaningful way to support the Fulfillment Fund's important work in the community. Songwriters who have participated in The Songs of Our Lives include Academy and Grammy Award winning songwriters such as Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, Marilyn and Alan Bergman, Hal David, Mac Davis, Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds, David Foster, Steve Karmen, Jerry Leiber, Kenny Loggins, Barry Mann, Alan Rich, Mike Stoller, Cynthia Weil, Paul Williams, Bill Withers, and many others. Freda Payne as well as Scherrie Payne and Lynda Laurence (Formerly of The Supremes) have been added to the program as well.

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years.
