The producers of the internationally syndicated television series Raw Travel, announced today that Paul Rowan, the company's current head of research, has been elevated to Vice President of Distribution & Research.

'The Birds' by Irish playwright Conor McPherson and directed by Barrington Stage Companies founder and artistic director Julianne Boyd landed on BSC's Second Stage yesterday and BroadwayWorld was nestled in with the rest of the opening night Pittsfield audience. 

Citadel Theatre to give free, exclusive performance of A Christmas Story: The Musical to military families of the USO of Illinois  - Thursday evening - November 17 

Citadel Theatre, through a gift to the USO of Illinois, has set aside the entire theatre for the benefit of the men and women stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center and at USO of Illinois facilities throughout Illinois. On November 17, 2016 Citadel has invited 130 guests from the USO of Illinois to attend a special and exclusive advance performance of A Christmas Story: The Musical, with the show set to start at 7:30pm. Military guests, and their families, will be greeted by Santa and whirled away into the theatre to join Ralphie in his epic quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas presents - a Red Ryder BB Gun.

The Playwrights' Center's 45th anniversary season kicks off October 17 with PlayLabs, a week-long new play festival featuring Core Writers Christina Ham ('West of Central'), Susan Soon He Stanton ('we, the invisibles') and Ken Urban ('The Remains'). Last night Confessions of a Mormon Boy starring Steven Fales opened to a sold out crowd. In the audience were Alison Arngrim (Little House on the Prairie), Dennis Hensley (The Mismatch Game) and Robert Rosen (OutFest/UCLA School of Theatre, Film & Television).

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW)'s 2014 Spring Gala honored Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David on Monday night, May 12, at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally.
