Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents the 2010-2011 national tour of GREASE™ opening in Seattle at The Paramount Theatre for only 5 shows on January 7 - 9, 2011.

It's been 18 years since I DO! I DO! closed after a 22.5 year run. That production held the world record for being the longest running musical with its original cast, also easily making it the most popular musical production in Chanhassen Dinner Theatres' history. I DO! I DO! will open September 24th to two weeks of previews with a grand opening on Friday, October 8th on Chanhassen's Fireside Theatre stage.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences will present "An Evening with Blake Edwards," which will include a screening of his Hollywood satire "S.O.B." (1981), on Thursday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Musical Theatre West presents Ben franklin in Paris as a part of its Reiner Reading Series on August 15. The production will include direction by Todd Nielsen and musical direction by Daniel Thomas.

Westport Country Playhouse present a Sunday Symposium with Tom Jones, book writer and lyricist of 'I Do! I Do!,' following the Sunday, August 15, 3 p.m. matinee performance of the joyful and touching musical spanning 50 years of marriage. Jones, along with music composer Harvey Schmidt, received an Obie Award and a Special Tony Award for 'The Fantasticks.' In 1999, their stars were added to the Off-Broadway Walk of Fame outside the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

'50 Years of The Fantasticks', a special episode of Theater Talk devoted to the world's longest-running musical, will premiere on PBS this Friday evening, July 30, 2010 at 12:30am.

Erik Altemus, currently appearing as Matt in the Off Broadway production of The Fantasticks, has been cast in the HBO pilot The Miraculous Year, written by John Logan (Red) and directed by Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker). Altemus will play Brandon, a dancer.

The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and much beloved films. She had recently returned from a wonderfully, luxurious cruise and was getting back to business. Her New York apartment was where she needed to be as opposed to the home in Connecticut she shares with her husband of about 30 years, the fine actor Laurence Luckinbill. Lucie and I spoke briefly the day before the interview and set 10:30 am as the time for me to call her the following day. The morning of the interview arrived and the phone rang at 10am, and it was Lucie, ready to go.
