Photo Flash: First Look at Rehearsals of West End's McQUEEN Starring Stephen Wight

?McQUEEN, which received its world premiere in May at St. James Theatre, where it broke box office records, will transfer to London's West End, opening at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on Thursday 27 August, following previews from 13 August, for a strictly limited season until 7 November.  Check out a first look at rehearsals below!

McQUEEN to Receive West End Transfer

Award-winning actor Stephen Wight takes on the title role of Lee McQueen and Dianna Agron will play Dahlia in the world premiere of James Phillips's play McQUEEN directed by John Caird, which will run at St. James Theatre from 12 May to 27 June, with press nights on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May.  The play will also star Tracy-Ann Oberman as Isabella Blow, Laura Rees as Arabella, and David Shaw-Parker as John Hitchcock, along with Sophie Apollonia, Amber Doyle, George Hill, Eloise Hymas, Jordan Kennedy, Rachel Louisa Maybank, James Revell and Carrie Willis.  Check out behind the scenes interviews and more!

This Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May, James Phillips's McQUEEN celebrated press night performances and after parties at St. James Theatre. Principal cast members Stephen Wight, Dianna Agron, Tracy-Ann Oberman, David Shaw-Parker and Laura Rees were joined by a host of special guests including the family of the great Alexander McQueen. When I first saw the film of Educating Rita in the early 80s I was captivated by Julie Walters. It made the Brit actress an international star. Now at Theatre 40 Willy Russell's play Educating Rita receives a handsome staging with another captivating beauty Murielle Zuker. It's a two-character play co-starring Adrian Neil and directed by Robert Mackenzie through June 23.

STAGE TUBE: Marti Webb Sings from TELL ME ON A SUNDAY at Don Black Birthday Concert

Barry Satchwell Smith, Robert Mackintosh, St. James Theatre Productions Ltd and Nimax Theatres present the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's classic Tell Me On a Sunday starring the original Marti Webb, which recently extended its two week run at the Duchess Theatre through Saturday 8 March. In the video below, Webb sings 'Tell Me on A Sunday' and 'Take That Look Off Your Face' at a special birthday concert for Black.

TELL ME ON A SUNDAY Starring Marti Webb Extends Run Thru March 8

Barry Satchwell Smith, Robert Mackintosh, St. James Theatre Productions Ltd and Nimax Theatres are delighted to announce that due to further public demand, the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's classic Tell Me On a Sunday starring the original Marti Webb will extend its two week run at the Duchess Theatre to three weeks, from Tuesday 18 February - Saturday 8 March. Tickets are now on sale.

Marti Webb-Led TELL ME ON A SUNDAY to Air on BBC Radio 2 in April

St. James Theatre Productions Ltd, Barry Satchwell-Smith & Robert Mackintosh just announced that the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's classic Tell Me On a Sunday starring the original Marti Webb has been recorded for BBC Radio 2 and will air in April.
