VIDEO: FROZEN Celebrates Cast Album Release With 'Let It Go' Music Video

To celebrate the debut of the Frozen Original Broadway Cast Recording, the show has just released a brand new, behind-the-scenes music video of its best known song and Act I closer, "Let It Go." This is the first time that the Broadway version of the song, and Caissie Levy's (Elsa) thrilling vocal performance, have been heard outside of the St. James Theatre. The video takes the viewer into the recording studio with Levy and into the backstage and onstage worlds of the cast of the Broadway production of Frozen. "Let It Go" won the Academy Award® in 2014 for Best Original Song.
THE BOOK OF MORMON Announces Lottery Ticket Policy

The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the national tour, which begins Tuesday, May 22, at the Ohio Theatre, and plays a limited one-week engagement through Sunday, May 27. In Columbus, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 each (cash only).

My first time attending THE BOOK OF MORMON was in 2013 right after seeing my oldest son off on a full-time Mormon mission to Sierra Leone, West Africa. Going into the theater, I wondered if the controversy surrounding the play would make me worry more about my son. Would it challenge my own belief system? Would it test ideals I held sacred? Turns out, none of that was true. Upon viewing THE BOOK OF MORMON play as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS).

Spring has sprung, awards season has begun, and the latter is all that really matters to Broadway fans everywhere. Earlier this week, Katharine McPhee and Leslie Odom Jr. announced the 2018 Tony nominations, celebrating the best of the 2017-18 theatre season (and what a season it's been!). Leading the pack were Mean Girls and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical with 12 nominations, followed by Angels in America, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel andThe Band's Visit with 11 and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts One and Two with 10. Just last night, the Dramatists Guild Foundation (DGF) gathered the best of Broadway at the Hudson Theatre to toast the life and work of one of American theatre's greatest living composers, Stephen Schwartz, on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 7pm EST. The star-filled concert, sponsored in part by the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) and the Hudson Theatre, showcased and shined a spotlight on Schwartz's beloved songs, stories, and legacy in celebration of his 70th Birthday.
