Lifeline Theatre's KidSeries presents a world premiere stage adaptation of The 13 Clocks, based on the irreverent fairy tale by James Thurber. The production is adapted by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Robert Kauzlaric (two-time Non-Equity Jeff Award-winning adaptor), and directed by Serendipity Theatre Collective Artistic Director Amanda Delheimer. On a faraway island, a wicked Duke has locked his niece in a high tower.

At its 38th annual celebration of Chicago's non-union theatre scene, the Jeff Awards honored 27 award recipients for excellence Monday evening at the Park West. The event, emceed by Circle Theatre's Kevin Bellie for the second consecutive year, featured production numbers by the nominated musicals and presentation of awards, two of which were delivered by robots. The robots, created for Sideshow Theatre Company's 'Heddatron,' earned their creators an award for Robot Design and Engineering in the Artistic Specialization category, shared with Izumi Inaba, who received an award for makeup design for 'Cats' at Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre in association with Michael James.

Holmquist. The Moonstone, an Indian diamond steeped in a history of violence and mysticism, is stolen from Rachel Verinder's bedroom, and no one in her household is above suspicion. Join an unforgettable collection of liars, lovers, addicts and outcasts as they struggle to uncover the truth and reclaim the stone before its curse destroys them all. This thrilling mystery, regarded as the first detective novel in the English language, is re-imagined for the Lifeline stage by the award-winning adaptor and director of The Island of Dr. Moreau and Neverwhere. The Moonstone closes March 27, 2011 at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave. (free parking and shuttle; see below).
