With the opening of Henry the Eighth, The Atlanta Shakespeare Company has officially completed performing Shakespeare's entire canon for a second time.

Fellowship for Performing Arts announced today an extension for the revival of Robert Bolt's Tony Award-winning play, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, a Machiavellian political-religious drama ripped from today's headlines. A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS began previews on January 11, 2019, at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036) and officially opened on January 23. Originally set to close on February 24, the play will now run through March 3, 2019.

A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS will officially open on January 23 for a limited run through February 24, 2019.

Troupe today announces the transfer of the Off West End Award-nominated The Sweet Science of Bruising to Wilton's Music Hall, following its sold-out run at Southwark Playhouse last year. As a Victorian music hall, Wilton's offers a new authenticity to the play which follows four female boxers in 1869. The production opens on 7 June, with previews from 5 June, and runs until 29 June.

After Henry declares that he will break from the Catholic Church and passes a bill requiring his subjects to agree to Henry's supremacy over all, Thomas resigns his Chancellorship and refuses to take the oath. This brilliant and gripping story of one man's courage and convictions will move all who experience it.

Troupe today announces the World Premiere of Joy Wilkinson's The Sweet Science of Bruising. Directed by Kirsty Patrick Ward, the production opens at Southwark Playhouse on 5 October, with previews from 3 October, and runs until 27 October.

In the 16th century, King Henry VIII (Ian Michaels) divorced his wife Catherine, who could not give him a son, and married Anne Boleyn. He was excomunicated from the Catholic Church by the Pope of Rome. The Anglican Church resulted and Henry's power became supreme in England. Spain, who had conducted the Inquisition, looked upon England with disdain. Anyone under Henry's command, who had signed an oath accepting the changes, stood to benefit in convenient ways. For example, Master Richard Rich (Mitchell Lam Hau) moved up the ladder and betrayed his mentor and friend Sir Thomas More (Bruce Ladd), who had offered him sound advice about becoming a teacher and staying honest.
