F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company announces Fuddy Meers, a play by David Lindsay-Abaire. Fuddy Meers opens for the press on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 8:00 and plays through May 10, 2008.

Lara Teeter to Host Kevin Kline Awards

Lara Teeter, Tony-nominated actor and new head of Musical Theatre at Webster University, will serve as emcee of the 3rd annual Kevin Kline Awards, which is scheduled for Monday, March 31 at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts at Webster University (130 Edgar Rd.). The event begins at 7 p.m.

'Little Dog' Reschedules Shows; Orsini Covers Jordan's Role

Due to actor illness, TheaterWorks is canceling performances of The Little Dog Laughed through February 17. The hit comedy will resume its run on Tuesday, February 19 when Jonathan Orsini will step into the role of Alex previously performed by Jeremy Jordan, who underwent an appendectomy this week. To accommodate displaced ticket-holders, the theater is adding a full week of additional performances to the show's schedule.

Ruffelle Heads London Cast of Finn's 'Make Me a Song'

London's Player's Theatre will play host in March to the UK premiere of the recent Off-Broadway show, Make Me a Song - a 'songfest' of numbers from the inspirational pen of Tony Award winning composer/lyricist, William Finn.

Barrington Stage Company Announces 2008 Season

'Homecoming' is the theme of Barrington Stage Company's 14th Season. The theatre that developed and premiered William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on its Stage II in 2004 welcomes home the award-winning Broadway hit to its Mainstage from June 11 through July 12. Long-time BSC director Rob Ruggiero returns to direct Richard Greenberg's The Violet Hour, which will play July 17 through August 2. Julianne Boyd will direct Noel Coward's delicious battle-of-the-sexes comedy Private Lives starring Christopher Innvar from August 7 through 24. Private Lives marks the fifth stage collaboration between Boyd and Innvar.

'Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn' to Close 12/30

Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn will play its final performance on December 30. The show, which opened at New World Stages on November 12, will have played 14 previews and 55 performances.

'Ella' Begins 12/28 at Arena Stage in Crystal City

Arena kicks off performances in this temporary location, known now as Arena Stage in Crystal City, with the swinging new musical Ella, conceived by Rob Ruggiero and Dyke Garrison with book by Jeffrey Hatcher.
