The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2015-2016 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 12, to patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by the Alliance Theatre, at 6:30pm in The Circle Room, on the third floor, 1280 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309.

RAPPAPORT is a story of family, friendship and frailty, say the producers Ann-Carol Pence and Anthony P. Rodriguez in a program note. A 1986 Tony Award winner, Herb Gardner's I'M NOT RAPPAPORT is the final show in the Aurora Theatre's 20th anniversary season. Through its endearing dialogue, wit and thought-provoking moments, the matinee showing on Sunday, May 8-Mother's Day-kept the audience of primarily senior citizens laughing at the relatability while reflecting on the universal truths conveyed.

The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced winners for the 2013-2014 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening at the awards ceremony at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center. The evening was hosted by Rob Cleveland. Presenters included Deadre Moore, Ingrid Cole and Christy Baggett, Eric and Bethany Mendenhall, Veronika Duerr and Laura Cole, Clifton Guterman and WABE's John Lemley, Tess and Mark Kincaid, and Karen Howell and Chris Ekholm. Aurora Theatre continues the Brand Signature Series with the Star Wars-themed comedy, All Childish Thingsrunning October 3-27, 2013. In his mom's basement in Cincinnati, Dave and his friends are plotting a caper that will deliver them from the Darth Vader-like clutches of life's dark side. As die-hard Star Wars enthusiasts, Dave's plan involves stealing a stash of coveted collectibles. Against Jabba-sized odds, their plan is so crazy, it just might work. This new comedy is more fun than a barrel of Wookies. The play is written by Joseph Zettelmaier, a Michigan-based playwright and four-time nominee for the Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association Award for best new play including All Childish Things.
Aurora Children's Playhouse Announces Summer Events

Aurora Theatre assembles the best children's performers in the region, bringing them to Gwinnett County for the series Aurora Children's Playhouse. In the summertime the performance schedule moves to Wednesday with shows at 10 AM and 11:30 AM beginning on June 5 featuring five spectacular acts through July 10. Aurora Children's Playhouse: Summer Edition welcomes local families to attend, and offers special group rates for churches, camps and day cares to bus in groups.
