Theatrical Outfit has announced The Adventures of High John the Conqueror, an evening of stories written and directed by Rob Cleveland. The show runs July 25 – August 12, 2012 at the Balzer Theater at Herren's and stars Rob Cleveland and Eric J. Little.

The Adventures of High John the Conqueror is an evening of stories and music celebrating one of America's earliest and least-known folk heroes. High John was born on slave plantations and served as an inspiration for people who needed it most. In the company of other trickster characters such as Anansi and Br'er Rabbit, High John the Conqueror will delight audiences of all ages.

Rob Cleveland is an Atlanta actor and entertainer, whose credits include commercials for Coca-Cola, the Atlanta Hawks, Home Depot, etc., and radio for the Georgia Lottery, Publix, Ford, Bellsouth, Georgia Public Air, etc. Film credits include That Darn Cat, House of Payne, Drumline, Entertainment Atlanta, etc. At Theatrical Outfit, he was last seen in The Green Book and as Hoke in Driving Miss Daisy.

Eric J. Little appeared in A Lesson Before Dying (Suzi Nominee- Lead Actor) and Gee's Bend at Theatrical Outfit. Recently, he starred in two short films in the Cannes Film Festival with the "Creative Minds in Cannes" program. ATL credits include: Superior Donuts (Suzi Winner-Lead Actor, Horizon Theatre), Broke-ology (Suzi Nominee-Featured Actor), Our Town and Miss Evers' Boys (Suzi Nominee- Featured Actor, True Colors). Buy My House, Please! (Aurora), Blue Door (Suzi Nominee- Lead Actor, Theatre in the Square), and August Wilson Full Circle (Alliance/True Colors). He teaches at Clark Atlanta and is the drama director for Elizabeth Baptist. Film/TV: House of Payne, Necessary Roughness and Lottery Ticket.

TheBalzer Theater at Herren's is located at 84 Luckie Street, Atlanta, Ga. Performances are Wednesday – Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
