This morning in Nashville, during a live broadcast on SiriusXM'sBluegrass Junction, 15-time GRAMMY® winner Ricky Skaggswas formally announced as aninductee for the IBMA Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Along with Paul Williams, Tom T.Hall and the late Dixie Hall, Skaggs will be officially inducted onThursday, September 27 in Raleigh,NC at the International Bluegrass Music Awards. The awards show will be broadcast live at 7:00 p.m./ET on SiriusXM's Bluegrass Junction (Ch. 62).

Dennis Duff's latest album, SONGS FROM LYON COUNTY, is available for digital pre-order now from Bandzoogle and physical CDs from Gracey Holler Music. The disc, which features a host of guest artists and tunes ranging from Bluegrass to Country to Americana and Folk, will be in stores September 7. For the project, Duff has assembled gifted vocalists to interpret a cohesive and compelling group of songs. Guests include Paul Brewster (Ricky Skaggs band), Darin and Brooke Aldridge (Mountain Home Music), Josh Shilling (Mountain Heart) and IBMA award-winner Bradley Walker (Gaither Music), as well as rising star, Holly Pitney (Mo Pitney band). Duff sings lead on four of the album's nine songs.

Sutton Foster to Perform At Deer Valley Music Festival; Kristen Chenoweth Postponed

The Utah Symphony today announced Tony Award-winning singer Sutton Foster will take the stage at the Deer Valley Music Festival on Saturday, July 21 at 7:30 PM in a performance with the Utah Symphony led by Associate Conductor Conner Gray Covington. Kristin Chenoweth, who was originally scheduled to perform on this date, has postponed her performance to a yet-to-be-announced date in 2019. Legendary singer and 2016 Kennedy Center Honoree Mavis Staples will headline a special evening for the 2018 Kennedy Center Spring Gala on Sunday, May 6, 2018, in the Concert Hall. An Evening with Mavis Staples and Special Guests pairs Staples with some of her most notable collaborators: singer-songwriter Neko Case, multi-instrumentalist Bruce Hornsby, and bluegrass-county artist Alison Krauss. Together, they will lead guests through Staples's 60-plus year catalog of genre-defying contributions to American music, including many seminal works that have woven her into the very fabric of gospel, soul, folk pop, R&B, Hip Hop, blues, and rock. The Country Music Cruise,which recorded sellouts in each of its first five years, already boasted three Country Music Hall of Fame members sailing on the 2019 cruise. The announcement of Ricky Skaggs as one of the three newest Hall of Fame inductees last week brings the total to four for the January 27 – February 3, 2019 cruise aboard Holland America's stunning Signature class ship the Nieuw Amsterdam. The four hit acts will join headliner Jeff Foxworthy and a host of other artists for a week of fun, sun and non-stop entertainment.
