Jim Caruso's Cast Party, 'Birdland's star-studded, 'extreme' open mic/variety show' continues to dazzle packed houses at Birdland (315 West 44 Street, NYC) every Monday night starting at 9:30pm.
On Saturday, January 20, the Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum was the elegant setting for Jim Caruso's Cast Party! Host Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch created a concert version of their usually-impromptu open mic with a dazzling cast of (mostly) local performers. The sold-out house was entertained by Lucie Arnaz, Alix Korey, Karina Nuvo, David Zippel, Iris Williams, Jane Monheit, Julie Garnye, and Travis Cloer. The Cast Party Symphony Orchestra was helmed by Stritch at piano, as well as bassist Jeff Stover and Rick Montalbano on drums.

Singers Jane Monheit, Jim Caruso and singer/pianist/arranger Billy Stritch have joined forces in HOLLYWOODLAND: Songs From The Silver Screen, which is running at Birdland through Thanksgiving (Thursday) evening with a show at 6pm. Material includes beloved songs like 'Pennies From Heaven,' 'Let's Misbehave,' 'Over The Rainbow,' 'If I Only Had A Brain,' 'Whistle While You Work,' and 'It Happened In Sun Valley.'
