Grammy® nominated singer Jane Monheit, known for her smooth vocals and sincere interpretations, returns to Segerstrom Center in a program paying tribute to one of her musical idols, the legendary Judy Garland this weekend, March 13 & 14 in Samueli Theater. Hello Bluebird - Celebrating the Jazz of Judy Garland includes many of the Hollywood icon's hits such as "Get Happy," "You Gotta Have Me Go With You" and her most beloved signature song, "Over the Rainbow." Monheit will be joined by pianist Michael Kanan, bassist Neal Miner and drummer Rick Montalbano.

"I want to get away from the drama, and celebrate what we all loved about Judy," says Monheit. "The immense joy she brought through song, and her innate understanding of jazz. She did so much more than break hearts...she put them together again...and that's what we're going to be about with this show!"

Tickets for Jane Monheit: Hello Bluebird - Celebrating the Jazz of Judy Garland start at $69 and are now available online at SCFTA.org, at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling (714) 556-2787. For inquiries about group ticket savings for 10 or more, call the Group Services office at (714) 755-0236. The TTY number is (714) 556-2746.

"Everything I'm singing now is a reflection of my truest self," says Jane Monheit. "After all this time in the industry, after touring for 13 years, it's time to just be me, with complete and utter freedom."

An extraordinarily gifted jazz vocalist whose sincere and romantic interpretations of exceptional songs has made her a favorite in both the jazz and cabaret worlds, Monheit has garnered numerous accolades in the past decade. Her first album, Never Never Land, was voted top debut recording by the Jazz Journalist's Association and stayed on the Billboard jazz chart for more than a year. Subsequent albums either charted high, or in several cases, debuted at number one, and yielded two Grammy nominations in the Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals category, recognizing the work of Vince Mendoza on In The Sun and Taking A Chance On Love.
